Top 10 Exclusive Baby Names (Coronavirus-Inspired)

In the midst of an unpredictable and unforeseen pandemic, there is a trend developing that involves the use of “coronavirus-inspired” baby names. To some, these names may seem outlandish and borderline insensitive. However, for others, these names are solely symbolic of one’s personal fight against Covid-19, rather than a remembrance of the virus itself.

Now I, for one, love a well-thought-out baby name with a special meaning. For me, meaningful names usually stem from honoring a family member, culture, religion, or character trait. I can certainly empathize with any parent, who wants to use a name that resonates with them.

Covid-19 Inspired Baby Names

But, Honey…some of the “coronavirus-inspired” names that parents already used are only names a mother could love. No, I’m just joking, but they’re memorable for sure.

Current Coronavirus-Inspired Baby Names

Parents have given their children names, such as:

  • Covid
  • Corona
  • Quarantine
  • Quarantina
  • Lockdown
  • Sanitiser (yes, spelled with an “s” not a “z”)

Just, no.

Anyway, I came up with a list of 10 girl and boy names that are subtle and appropriate per se for this article. If the names float your boat, please feel free to use them as potential first or middle names for your child.

10 Coronavirus-Inspired Baby Names

  1. Corón: a name that derived from the first 5 letters of “coronavirus.”
